When you’re skiing in the mountains, warmth is non-negotiable. But if you’re feeling a little more ambitious – and want to turn heads as you glide past the crowds – this edit is for you. As our digital cover story with Swedish social media mogul and ski enthusiast Janni Delér proves, the strongest ski looks come down to playful layering and a mix of rich, tactile textures. Our fashion director, Robert Rydberg, who styled the shoot, puts it perfectly: “Ski fashion becomes exciting when unexpected textures and pops of colour are mixed with a high-quality base you can use over and over again.”
With that in mind, I’ve pulled together some of my absolute favourite pieces to build the ultimate ski wardrobe, inspired by the beautifully curated editorial – including a few standouts worn by Janni herself for Vogue Scandinavia.
Ski jackets
Ski jackets have come a long way from their bulky, unflattering past. Today’s versions are tech-forward, streamlined and built to withstand every element – not just the cold, but wind and wet weather too. My selected favourites will keep you warm and dry while still looking polished, whether you’re carving down the slopes or settling in for a well-earned après-ski.

Ski pants
Nothing beats a great pair of ski pants – the key is simply finding the style that suits your needs. Whether you swear by the security of suspenders or prioritise the practicality of extra pockets, the six options below have you covered.
Essential ski layers

Warm layers are essential on the slopes, but they don’t have to be boring. I love the simplicity of Oysho’s rib-knit base layer, but if you want to hit the mountains in true Janni style, go for the Kari Traa half-zip – its design is inspired by the runway look she wore in our fashion editorial.
Ski suits
Nothing beats the ease of slipping into a ski suit- simple, sleek and effortlessly stylish. The classic Marie Ski Suit from Fusalp is already in my shopping cart.
Ski goggles
A ski look is never compelte without a air of stylish googles. From local favourite Chimi’s sleek black googles, to Chloé's peachy googles, here are my six favourite options.
Ski accessories
Ski accessories are absolutly crusial, and are particularly useful when stopping for a sunny lunch in the slopes. I suggest investing in a pair of cashmere arm warmers from Lisa Yang or a fluffy aviator hat by Goldberg, both worn by Janni in on set for our ski editorial.

Ski boots
Beyond wrapping yourself in warm layers, the importance of comfortable footwear post-skiing cannot be overstated. Whether you're taking a walk in the local village or heading to an afterski party, these are some of the standout options on the market this season.

Ski helmets
There is a great variety of good helmets on the market, but i particularlly like the simplicity of the Swedemout helmet, and the ease of Rossignol helmet with visors.
