We're merely two days into 2026, and our editors are already embracing rejuvenation and self-care. From skincare essentials to wellness aids, discover our edit of must-have items to start fresh in the new year

Many of us treat the start of a new year as a chance to get into some new healthy habits. Dry January, veganauary, manifestations and a slew of health-based New Year's resolutions (yes, we've heard, the gyms are crowded) lie in stark contrast to the overindulgent holiday season we just left behind. Another great way to be a bit kinder to your body in 2026: self-care.

And so, our editors reveal the self-care products they're testing out this 2026. May we all be healed in the days and months to come.

Martina Bonnier, Editor in Chief

LH cosmetics

Infinity tool box

"There's nothing I enjoy more than a fresh set of makeup brushes. I have gone too long replacing mine, and I can not wait to start fresh in the new year."

Allyson Shiffman, Features Editor

Le Toft

Fidget ball

"It's cheaper than therapy. I might even get two."

Josefin Forsberg, Senior Beauty Editor

Shark

CryoGlow LED mask

"I've been using the Shark CryoGlow mask every day since I got it. It's definitely coming with me into 2026."

Helene Juliussen, Fashion Editor

Medicube

Age-R booster pro ex

"In the new year, I am planning to take my skincare routine to the next level by introducing this device to my weekly skincare routine. I'm not easily persuaded when it comes to expensive skincare devices, but this product championed by Hailey Bieber has been added to my shopping cart."

Charlotte Moss, Fashion Assistant

Elemis

Pro-collagen cleansing balm

"My skin tends to become especially dry during the winter months, and many cleansers only make matters worse by stripping away natural oils. This cleansing balm is the best I have tried, melting away makeup and impurities while leaving my skin feeling deeply nourished. And with its subtle lavender scent, every cleanse feels like a mini spa moment."

Linnea Pesonen, Junior Writer

Dr. Jart+

Ceramidin cream

“The Nordic winter always wreaks havoc on my skin, leaving it rough, dry and red. The best way to kick off the new year, beauty-wise, is to get my skin barrier back in check, and this K-beauty holy grail delivers a dewy and bouncy skin while doubling as a great base for makeup.”

Jennifer Nguyen, Social Editor

The Ordinary

Hyaluronic acid 2% + B5

"I’m resetting for 2026 by returning to a tried and true favourite: this hyaluronic acid from The Ordinary. After all the overindulgence that comes with the holiday season (from too much makeup to too much wine), I love to simplify my routine and come back to squeaky clean skin, topped off with a serum that goes above and beyond — it hydrates the skin at all levels, not just the surface"

Eleanor Kittle, Editorial Assistant

Exuviance

Gentle daily exfoliating pads

"I've been in the market for a new facial exfoliator, and, on the recommendation of beauty editor Josefin Forsberg, these pads from Exuviance will soon be making their way into my skincare routine."
