Alicia Vikander has gained global recognition as much for her Oscar-winning portrayal of painter Gerda Wegener in The Danish Girl as she has for her effortless style. Here's how makeup artist Georgina Graham channeled that sense of Scandinavian cool into Vikander's cover shoot look

The glossy skin draped over cheekbones so pronounced they could have been carved by Michelangelo himself. Alicia Vikander on this month's cover of Vogue Scandinavia is the epitome of Nordic nonchalance and minimalist clean lines. "I wanted to enhance Alicia’s features in a subtle, elegant way while respecting her innate sense of cool," says makeup artist Georgina Graham, who created the looks in these pictures.
