On the last stop of her tour in Scandinavia, Raye took over the Avicii Arena for a night of jazz, jovialities and justifications. Audemars Piguet invited Vogue Scandinavia to enjoy the spectacle – and here are our main takeaways

“I’m doing this the wrong way round.” These were the words British singer-songwriter Raye laughed to the sold-out stadium as she brought This Tour May Contain New Music to Avicii Arena in Stockholm. While the tour is already underway, the album of the same name is not released until the end of March – a deliberate inversion of the traditional industry cycle.

Having become a friend of Swiss Haute Horlogerie house Audemars Piguet last year, Raye joins a select circle of musicians in the 'AP family' whose relationships with the brand are built to last. Through its Music Programme, Audemars Piguet fosters creative exchange, championing the common values between artistic and technical worlds.

Battling a formidable cold, the kind that plagues us all this time of year, the artist promised the crowd, "I'm going to give you the best my body can give." Fearing she wouldn't be able to deliver on the vocal brilliance of her famous belt in 'Oscar Winning Tears', the singer enlisted the crowd for help. Yet, defying her illness, she managed the powerful moment, exclaiming triumphantly, "We did it together, how beautiful is that?"

In spite of her struggle, Raye delivered an electric, unforgettable performance. Below, we dive into the six biggest takeaways from her landmark night in the Swedish capital.
