As she got ready for Marimekko’s spring/summer ‘27 show – and enjoyed her first time in Copenhagen – acclaimed British actress Yasmin Finney welcomed Vogue Scandinavia for a sneak peek at her vibrant look, and shared what she’s most excited about experiencing Copenhagen Fashion Week for the very first time
Yasmin Finney dials in from Copenhagen’s Nobis hotel, fresh-faced and bundled up in a plush Marimekko robe, swathed in a pink-and-red ‘Unikko’ pattern. Her hands cradle a steaming cup of tea, the mug also dotted with the iconic poppy flowers. The acclaimed British actress, known for her roles in Netflix’s blockbuster Heartstopper series and the film that recently followed, Heartstopper Forever, is in town for her very first Copenhagen Fashion Week, attending, as you may have already guessed, Marimekko’s spring/summer ‘27 showcase.
“Actually this is my first time in any Scandinavian country,” Finney says, noting that she’s already been charmed by Copenhagen’s unique energy – particularly the locals’ penchant for alfresco swimming, and of course, biking (“I kind of want to Lime bike to the [Marimekko] show and have the wind blowing in the hair,” she laughs). As for what she’s looking forward to the most during her first taste of CPHFW? “The street style and just getting to know the culture in Denmark. Copenhagen feels very similar to Amsterdam; it feels very urban and familiar,” she says. “They have a cool style here. I don’t understand a word they’re saying, but I love being able to indulge myself in a culture that I’m not educated on.”
