Video: Making 15,000 paper flowers by hand became a grieving process for this Swedish artist

The Swedish artist shares the personal stories and emotional journey behind her blossoming hand-craftsmanship

In 2020, Sofia Vusir Jansson received the biggest order to date for her paper flowers: Svenskt Tenn commissioned her to produce no less than 15,000 paper flower Christmas tree ornaments – one of the oldest festive traditions in Sweden. The request took 132 days to complete and, unexpectedly, it helped Vusir Jansson to navigate the grief of suddenly losing her father.
