With the launch of Collection II, Swarowski invites us into a technicolour world of wonder

For Collection II, under the creative direction of Giovanna Engelbert, Swarowski took a decidedly more is more approach.

Shot by iconic Swedish photographer Mikael Jansson in a series of 25 portraits styled by Engelbert, the multicoloured gems and crystals were worn by a vibrant cast spanning age, gender and ethnicity. Featured among the cast is British supermodel Adwoa Aboah and Lourdes Leon.

As with the brand’s previous drops, the offering is ripe with symbolism. According to the brand, diversity is fundamental to the collection itself and the inclusive vision of Engelbert. The colours, textures, and cuts yield pieces that are as singular as the talents who wear them.

As Engelbert explains, “Collection II gives us a chance to dive further into our world of wonders. From a closer look into the muses of the Bohemian movement to the design aesthetic of our Austrian heritage, we’re able to enrich our brand story with a modern twist. In this way, each crystal item becomes a microcosm of our world.”

While colour remains a staple for the brand, the new line also puts clear crystals in the spotlight. A standout among the latest additions to the Swarowski family is Stella, in which distinct star-shaped pieces play with proportions.
