At last, Stockholm’s first Dior boutique has opened its doors. We step inside the stunning two-floor retail space

Hot on the (bunny bow) heels of Jonathan Anderson’s triumphant Dior debut, the French fashion house has opened the doors to its expansive new Stockholm boutique. Set across two generous floors on Birger Jarlsgatan (women’s upstairs, men’s down below), the retail space is an unfettered fashion fantasy, all soaring ceilings and flattering bright lighting reflecting off the Versailles parquet flooring. There are well-appointed seating areas and fresh flowers, not to mention the facade, which features the house’s subtle cannage pattern.

Oh, and yes, the clothes, bags, shoes and jewellery. Right now the boutique is stocked with Dior Cruise 2026 (a pleasant visual escape from the darkness that’s begun to settle on our city) as well as some covetable iconic creations, like the Lady Dior (there’s a white crocodile iteration that will knock your socks off) and the Dior Toujours. For those craving something sparkly in time for the holidays, there's the whimsical Rose des Vents jewellery collection.

To mark the opening, it’s been a week of elegant celebrations. Yesterday, the boutique welcomed a handful of VIPs for breakfast (perhaps you swiped past our editor in chief, Martina Bonnier, trying on an exquisite black strapless gown) and this morning the store was filled with press, sipping on lattes with Dior scrawled across the foam and nibbling on Lady Dior cookies (yes, at 9AM).

The finishing touch is the art – an apt flourish given Christian Dior's rich history as a gallerist and collector. Swedish artists Carin Ellberg, whose dreamy pastel painting hangs in the front room, and Olivia Pettersson Fleur are prominently featured. Above the twisting stairs, meanwhile, is a porcelain installation by Valeria Nascimento.

Stockholm's Dior boutique is now open. As for the Jonathan Anderson’s first designs? Mark your calendars – they’ll arrive in January.
