The British designer brings her signature spin to two of Bugaboo’s most iconic strollers in a limited-edition collection launching later this month

Mums and dads, mark your calendars. Stella McCartney is bringing her distinctive design language to a rather unexpected new canvas: the stroller.

Launching globally on 15 September, Bugaboo x Stella McCartney sees two of the Dutch brand’s most recognisable models – the Fox 5 Renew and compact Butterfly 2 – reimagined through the world of the acclaimed British designer. The limited-edition collection extends to a line-up of matching accessories, including a footmuff, tote bag and mittens for both adults and little ones.

The collection also marks the beginning of a multi-year partnership between Bugaboo and Stella McCartney, bringing together two brands with a shared focus on design, innovation and more considered material choices.

And there are plenty of McCartney signatures to spot. The designer’s iconic Falabella bag – itself named after the breed of McCartney’s childhood pony – provides a key point of reference, with its distinctive chain translated onto the stroller canopy alongside vintage-inspired medallions and Stella McCartney branding.

Materials have been given equal, meticulous consideration. Fabrics are made from recycled polyester sourced from plastic bottles and dyed using a process that requires no water, while bio-based materials and recycled aluminium feature elsewhere across the collection. It’s an approach that brings Bugaboo’s focus on functionality and durability together with McCartney’s longstanding commitment to rethinking the materials traditionally associated with luxury.

Fronting the campaign is model, entrepreneur and new mother Poppy Delevingne, captured with the collection amid the English countryside. The imagery offers a playful take on modern parenthood, built around the idea that becoming a parent doesn’t mean leaving your own sense of style – or identity – behind.

Consider this your first look. Stay tuned to Vogue Scandinavia for more from the collaboration as it officially lands later this month.
