Among the buzziest collaborations at 2026 3daysofdesign is the creative coupling of Sea New York and House of Finn Juhl. The duo have reimagined Finn Juhl’s iconic Japan Series, now clad in Sea New York’s rich embroidery. Below, we take a closer look at the collaboration
Fashion has been increasingly seeping into the 3daysofdesign calendar in recent years. With Copenhagen as Scandinavia’s sartorial crown jewel, brands are finding clever ways to bridge the worlds of fashion and interiors during the landmark design festival. One such pairing is Sea New York and House of Finn Juhl, who presented their collaboration on a special edition of Finn Juhl’s iconic Japan Series through a captivating exhibition staged at House of Finn Juhl’s showroom in the heart of Copenhagen.
The team-up reimagines the celebrated furniture collection the Danish designer conceived in 1957. Drawing inspiration from Japanese aesthetics, the seating series offered a fresh perspective on mid-century modern design, defined by an elegant, streamlined silhouette that harkens back to traditional Japanese temple doors. Now, the collection – comprising a lounge chair, a footstool, a two-seater sofa and a three-seater sofa – has been dressed in Sea New York’s intricately embroidered textiles.
