It was a big night for Scandinavia at the 2026 Golden Globes. From the red carpet winners to the literal winners, we break down the five biggest moments
From the red carpet to the stage, Scandinavia positively served at the 2026 Golden Globes. It’s no surprise, really, with Sentimental Value garnering eight nominations (ultimately, the film only nabbed one win, but who’s counting) we knew it was going to be a big night for well-dressed Norwegians. But the Scandinavian moments at Hollywood’s big night didn’t end there.
Below, we break down all the unmissable Scandinavian moments at the Golden Globes 2026.
Sentimental Value’s show-stopping looks

The Norwegian stars of Sentimental Value looked nothing short of sensational on the dark red (burgundy?) carpet. Former Vogue Scandinavia cover star Renate Reinsve shimmered in silver fringed Louis Vuitton (no surprise there – she’s been working with the Parisian house since the awards season for her breakout in The Worst Person in the World). The gown, which was embellished countless hand-sewn bugle beads, came to life as she spun for delighted photographers.
Newcomer Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, meanwhile, wore a strapless silk Loewe look with a structured bodice and ethereal sheer cape. It was the sort of minimalistic, silhouette-forward look we’ve come to expect from the emerging red carpet star. The twist, however, was that stunning seafoam hue.
Laufey lights up the carpet in orange Balenciaga

Another Vogue Scandinavia cover alum who stunned on the 2026 Golden Globes red carpet was Icelandic singer Laufey. Like Ibsdotter Lilleaas, Laufey opted for an unusual hue and the gamble really paid off. Her vibrant orange gown, which featured a simple, waist-accentuating silhouette and subtle draping, was courtesy of colour master Pierpaolo Piccioli’s spring/summer 2026 Balenciaga debut. She’s not the first Scandi to wear orange for a major awards show moment; Danish actor Vic Carmen Sonne dabbled in the hue for last year’s Oscars.
Stellan Skarsgård claims his Best Supporting Actor statue

Swedish icon Stellan Skarsgård picked up his second Golden Globe yesterday (the first was for his role in miniseries Chernobyl), beating out a stacked category to win Best Supporting Actor for his role in Sentimental Value. Looking effortlessly dapper in Zegna, the actor thanked his wife, Megan Everett-Skarsgård, and shouted out his famous children.

Pamela Anderson goes back to blonde

Our current cover star, Pamela Anderson, also had a major moment on the 2026 Golden Globes red carpet. The actor bid farewell to her short-lived copper era, returning to her signature blonde. This is hardly the blonde of Anderson’s past, but rather a cool-toned platinum, swept into an elegant knot with sweeping side bangs. In a Scandi-minimal Farragamo look, comprised of a simple white shirt and floor-grazing skirt, the hair was the moment. The finishing touch? Lab-grown diamonds by Pandora.
Ludvig Göransson scoops Best Original Score

Swedish composer Ludvig Göransson, who has also appeared on the pages of this magazine, picked up the award for Best Original Score for his work on Sinners. Göransson, who received the award from Charli XCX and Joe Keery, looked comfortable on stage thanking the cast and crew of the film (it’s not his first rodeo – he’s become somewhat of an awards show darling). But the standout, as usual, was his hair.
