Runic Astrology September 7th - September 13th: What do the runes have in store for you this week?

By Randi Bjærum

Runic astrologer Randi Bjærum uses the ancient Viking practice to forecast your love, money, career, style and health every week

Divination in runes is an ancient art that can be traced back to the Norse God Odin. Old scriptures show that the Vikings then continued this tradition – they even used used rune symbols in jewellery, clothing and weapons to boost their energy.

Each person has their own rune stone, depending on on what day, and at what time they were born. This unique birth rune indicates the abilities, talents and resources that you bring into your life.

But as the universe is constantly changing, daily, weekly or monthly runic astrology can tell you how events, actions and things affect your life. It can also reveal what energies, events and changes are occurring, and how you can best act on them. A runic horoscope is a guide to your spiritual journey, and a guide on how to live life to the fullest.

Perthro (13th January - 28th January)

A secret or hidden information may come to light. It does not have to be dramatic; it may simply be something you did not know about. The New Moon can make you more aware of what is happening behind the scenes. An eclipse message may now reveal what you were unable to see last month.

Algiz (28th January - 13th February)

You may find that someone unexpectedly helps you or steps in when you need it. The New Moon reminds you that making good choices often comes down to the people you surround yourself with. If you did not notice anything last month, this protection may be the eclipse message arriving now.

Sowilo (13th February - 27th February)

A situation that has been unclear may suddenly receive definite confirmation. It could be an answer, an agreement or a person showing you exactly where you stand. The New Moon gives you the courage to trust what is actually working. If you were waiting for a sign last month, the answer may arrive now. When you receive a clear yes, dare to move forward.

Teiwaz (27th February - 14th March)

A situation in which you have felt misunderstood may begin to resolve itself. Someone may finally see things from your perspective. The New Moon gives you the opportunity to act with greater fairness and clarity. The eclipse message may now arrive as confirmation that standing by the truth has not been in vain. Stick to the facts and let your actions speak for themselves.

Berkano (14th March - 30th March)

An idea may suddenly feel more realistic than it did before. This is not necessarily the time to show it to everyone, but rather to start building it. The New Moon nourishes something that can grow slowly. If you did not notice the eclipse’s message last month, this new idea may be the seed that begins to sprout now.

Ehwaz (30th March - 14th April)

A collaboration or connection may develop more quickly than expected. You may discover that someone you have not thought much about could actually become important. The New Moon creates movement between people. Last month’s eclipse message may now arrive through someone who reappears after a period of absence.

Mannaz (14th April - 29th April)

Someone is noticing your efforts, even if you have not received much feedback. A comment or response may show you that you have had a greater impact than you realised. The New Moon reminds you that not everything that matters happens in plain sight. If you did not notice anything last month, the recognition may come now.

Laguz (29th April - 14th May)

A coincidence may feel remarkably precise. It could be a name, a song, an encounter or a message appearing just as you are thinking about something. The New Moon makes you more aware of these subtle signals. If you did not notice it last month, this could be the eclipse message arriving now.

Ingwaz (14th May – 29th May)

A plan you have not spoken about openly may begin to take shape. You do not need to tell others everything just yet. The New Moon gives you a good opportunity to make something more concrete out of what has been quietly developing. The eclipse message may arrive now through a development you could not see last month.

Othala (29th May – 14th June)

A situation may turn around more quickly than expected. What looked like a problem could suddenly find a solution. The New Moon opens up a new way of looking at things. If you did not notice the eclipse message last month, the turning point may come now.

Dagaz (14th June – 29th June)

A person, object or story from the past may reappear. It could be something you thought you had finished with, but which now takes on a different meaning. The New Moon gives you the opportunity to decide what from your past should still have a place in your life. If you did not notice the eclipse message last month, it may arrive now.

Fehu (29th June – 14th July)

The New Moon on 11th September indicates that something new is beginning to emerge, even if you cannot immediately see where it will lead. Eclipses can deliver their message a month later, so if you did not notice anything significant last month, the message may arrive now.

Uruz (14th July – 29th July)

A situation may test you more than you expected. At the same time, you discover that you can handle it far better than you could before. The New Moon gives you an opportunity to take an unexpected challenge in your stride. If the eclipse did not give you any clear sign last month, this challenge may be the message arriving now.

Thurisaz (29th July – 13th August)

This week’s New Moon may send you a signal worth paying attention to. It could show you that not every opportunity is right for you simply because it looks exciting. Eclipses can deliver their message a month later, so if you did not notice anything significant last month, the message may arrive now.

Ansuz (13th August – 29th August)

A message may arrive from someone you have not heard from in a while. Their words may be brief, but could set many thoughts in motion. The New Moon makes communication more meaningful than usual. If you did not notice the eclipse energy last month, this message may be how it reveals itself now.

Raidho (29th August – 13th September)

An arrangement or plan may change at the last minute. Although it may initially seem inconvenient, the change could lead you somewhere different or bring you into contact with someone who becomes important. The New Moon opens up a new route you had not planned to take. If you did not notice anything last month, the eclipse message may arrive through this unexpected detour.

Kenaz (13th September – 28th September)

You may discover information that has been right in front of you without you noticing it. A detail in a conversation, message or document could suddenly become significant. The New Moon sharpens your eye for what has previously slipped under the radar. This could also be last month’s eclipse message finally becoming clear.

Gebo (28th September – 13th October)

Someone may offer you something without you having asked for it. It could be help, an invitation, a favour or an opportunity. The New Moon shows you that sometimes we receive what we need through other people. If you did not notice anything last month, this gift may be the eclipse’s delayed message.

Wunjo (13th October – 28th October)

A small victory may bring you more joy than you expect. It could be a message you have been waiting for or something finally falling into place. The New Moon reminds you that progress can also be found in the little things. An eclipse message from last month may now arrive as a happy surprise.

Hagalaz (28th October – 13th November)

Something may be cancelled or turn out differently from what you had planned. However, this could create space for something you would not otherwise have had time for. The New Moon shows you that an interruption does not always mean you are on the wrong path. If you did not notice the eclipse’s message last month, this event could be the key.

Nauthiz (13th November – 28th November)

A situation may force you to make a decision you have been putting off. You can no longer keep two possibilities open at the same time. This week’s New Moon can help you prioritise what truly matters. Last month’s eclipse message may now arrive through a choice that can no longer be postponed.

Isa (28th November – 13th December)

A plan may come to a standstill without an immediate explanation. It could be frustrating, but the pause gives you time to notice an important detail. The New Moon reminds you that timing can also be part of the process. If you did not notice anything last month, this period of inactivity may be the eclipse’s delayed message.

Jera (13th December – 28th December)

You may finally see the results of something you have been working on for a long time. This week’s New Moon marks the beginning of a new phase, just as something from the past begins to pay off. If you did not notice the eclipse message last month, it may now reveal itself through this result.

Eihwaz (28th December – 13th January)

You may feel caught somewhere between the old and the new this week. A situation is not entirely over, but nor is it the way it used to be. The New Moon gives you time to work out which direction you want to take before making the final move. If the eclipse did not give you a clear message last month, this transitional phase may be the answer.
