Ranra - AW26

By Eleanor Kittle

For AW26, Ranra draws on beeswax – a symbol of Nordic practicality – shaping a warmer, more tailored collection rooted in function

At its autumn/winter ’26 showing, Ranra spotlighted beeswax, a material deeply embedded in the Nordic region’s practical history. Long used to waterproof leather and wool, seal wood, guard against moisture and provide light, beeswax stands as a steadfast symbol of reliability through the cold, unforgiving winter months.

For its Copenhagen presentation, the menswear label approached this age-old material with characteristic directness – not as mere symbolism, but as something genuinely tangible: solid, warm-toned, firm yet pliable and utterly dependable.

The collection marked a more sartorial turn for Ranra with the introduction of tailoring. Wool suiting and structured outerwear debuted with a clear sensitivity to material integrity and construction, prioritising comfort, movement and durability over rigid formality. Leather appeared in reworked bomber jackets, while the label’s signature silk jackets returned, refined with wool blends to enhance structure.

Anchoring the collection was a reimagined puffer silhouette — a staple of the Ranra wardrobe lexicon — where familiar forms were carefully rebalanced through proportion, considered material choices and expert construction. The classic Wool River Fleece was updated with a new dye treatment that deepened its tonal richness, alongside printed motifs inspired by an Icelandic artist, subtly reconnecting the collection to the region’s creative landscape. Footwear followed the same style-first approach, introducing a quiet sophistication that never compromised on function or wearability.
