The beloved Danish brand has extended its minimalist, built-to-last ethos into homewares, launching a line-up of sleek kitchenware and everyday objects. Below, all you need to know about Rains’ latest venture
Aside from all the spring/summer ‘26 collections unveiled during Copenhagen Fashion Week, another debut turned heads: Danish brand Rains – known for its sleek, fashion-forward wet-wear – launched its first-ever homeware line-up, dubbed ‘Home Away’. On Paper Island, the pared-back pieces, comprising everything from industrial steel tableware and tumblers to water bottles and lunch boxes, were presented in a lofty and gritty concrete space, where they dotted sprawling raw steel tables adorned with soft clusters of moss.
According to Philip Lotko, co-founder of Rains, this move has been in the works for some time now. “We’ve been building towards this for years,” he says. “Rains started with outerwear, but the bigger idea was always about design-led solutions for every part of your life. ‘Home Away’ felt like the natural next step – a way to bring our perspective indoors, outdoors, and anywhere in between. The timing made sense because our community is already using Rains products in these hybrid, on-the-go ways. We’re just giving them tools that are built exactly for that.”

Much like the rest of Rains’ offering, ‘Home Away’ zeroes in on premium, hard-wearing materials crafted into clean lines and functional pieces, with Lotko summing up the venture’s vision as “modular, minimal, and built to live anywhere.” Material choice became central to the line-up, with the brand favouring brushed steel as the anchor for its durability and polished look. “Every detail, from finish to weight, was considered to make sure the pieces feel timeless and ready for whatever environment they’re in,” he notes.
Concepts of brutality and biophilia lie at the heart of the collection, echoed in the setting it was introduced at CPHFW. For Lotko, these ideas – which may seem contrasting – coexist harmoniously in “pieces that are architecturally clean but tactile; engineered for utility but made to connect you with your environment.” Think of the water bottle that you take on outdoor adventures, or the tableware you set out for dinner with loved ones.
“‘Home Away’ takes the same principles we’ve honed in outerwear – durability, utility, and refinement – and applies them to objects you’ll touch every day,” Lotko continues. “They’re designed to move with you, whether you’re in a city kitchen, a park, or halfway up a mountain.”
