Amid my jam-packed schedule sprinting from one 3daysofdesign event to another, Italian outdoor brand Parajumpers offered a welcome break in the fresh, salty ocean breeze: a two-hour cruise around the Copenhagen harbour. After pouring rain and thunderstorms, the sky began to brighten up just in time, as the city's cool crowd – including international media and friends of the brand – embarked on a restored, 90-foot vintage wooden yacht for an intimate floating fête, complete with an artful spread courtesy of She Serves and chilled prosecco from northern Italy's Veneto region, near the birthplace of Parajumpers.
The guests were particularly well-dressed in Parajumpers' clothing, which not only puts a fashion-forward spin on outerwear but also protects against wind and rain – ideal for the moody conditions Scandinavian summers are known for. During the open-water session, the full kaleidoscope of Nordic summer weather unfolded, with blazing sun, fresh gusts and sudden showers greeting us in turn as we headed out to sea.
The cruise also offered a glimpse of Parajumpers' upcoming spring/summer '27 collection, which continues to build on the ideas that have guided the brand since the very beginning: freedom, function and the open journey. With Scandinavians' penchant for adventure and the outdoors, our region is a natural fit for Parajumpers. It's a cherished connection the brand continues to nurture through laidback and warm gatherings like this one. As we made our way back to the harbour, several rainbows graced the sky, crowning the afternoon.
