Pamela Anderson is no stranger to the Venice Film Festival, but this year, she is making her presence oh-so-known. From diaphanous pastels to shocking satins, these are all the killer looks she packed this year
These days, with the right stylist (like a Law Roach) and makeup artist (perhaps a Nina Park), a celebrity can send the internet into a frenzy relatively easily. Still, pulling off a single standout look is one thing, but it takes a true pro to nail the brief several days running.
Nowhere is this more necessary than at the Venice Film Festival, where the great and good of Hollywood and international cinema are papped and snapped morning to night, from the moment they step off the jetty at the Lido. It’s all well and good having your premiere look prepped and steamed, but if your travel outfit isn’t giving Jackie O-level glamour, then, next time, you’re probably better off skipping the festival altogether.

One star who knows how to pack successfully is Pamela Anderson, whose white Rimowa appears to have been stacked with killer looks (metaphorically speaking… of course the custom Calvin Klein gown isn’t in her wheelie cabin bag!) Anderson flew into the festival to promote her new film, Place To Be, and between the photo calls, premieres and parties, she’s put herself in the running to be Venice’s best-dressed guest.
The actress touched down wearing an Audrey Hepburn-meets-Grace Kelly take on airport-arrival glamour, sporting a camel-coloured bandana to match her trench coat and retro sunglasses. She shot to fame as a bouncy, blonde Baywatch babe, but these days, with her penchant for a bare face, Anderson understands the art of subtlety.

That evening, the actress attended a Golden Globes x Aman Beverly Hills cocktail party, pairing Dolly Parton-esque locks with a cape dress for a Grecian-goddess take on red-carpet dressing. Day two saw her embrace a more traditionally autumnal colour palette at the amfAR Gala, where she was presented with the organisation’s Award of Courage for her philanthropic work and longstanding support of the fight against AIDS, while wearing a custom Calvin Klein Collection burnt-orange gown. The next day, she opted for a more androgynous approach in monochrome tailoring, before circling back to ultra-feminine glamour, swapping the suiting for lilac chiffon and leopard-print cat-eye sunglasses.
