"A rose is a rose is a rose": Pamela Anderon recites a poem close to her heart

By Vogue Scandinavia's Video Team

In an intimate moment from her Vogue Scandinavia cover shoot, Pamela Anderson pays tribute to one of her favourite poets

Pamela Anderson's personal sanctuary is her garden at home, which she has named Arkady. There, she has bit a life of ritual: tending roses, canning tomatoes with lemon and garlic, sharing overflowing harvests with neighbours and local communities. “My garden does a lot of good,” she says. “Nothing goes to waste.”

Of everything she grows, her Yves Piaget roses are her pride – raspberry-hued, heritage, and hard-won. It was fitting, then, that roses surrounded her on our Vogue Scandinavia set in Copenhagen. Between looks, she recited lines from an interpretation of Gertrude Stein’s ‘Sacred Emily’ for the camera.

“A rose is a rose is a rose,” she says in the video below. Hit play to watch in full.
