Today, Miynt releases her song Of the Sun from her sophomore album. In an exclusive premiere of the accompanying music video, this Scandi cool-girl braces the Nordic tundra while singing to the tune of the sun
Today, Swedish California-breeze, indie sensation Miynt releases the song Of the Sun, a relaxed psychedelic ode to the brighter things in life. A sound influenced by The Beatles, Jim Morrison, BeeGees, and Mazzy Star — this is easy-listening at its finest.
It’s difficult to not sway to the grooving guitar riff of the soft rock resurgence. Miynt, the Stockholm-based singer, describes the inception of the song as surprisingly playful: “I think it was like mid-November or something, and I had this idea of this imaginary hotel called De La Sol, which is the badly spelled Spanish translation of the song title. So I guess it was sort of an escape from reality, basically, while making it. And it was very playful.”
