November Interior News: Carolina Storm reimagines Layered's classic sofa in four irresistible colours

Think of Somerset and you'll be transported to the quaint British countryside, with rolling hills and cottage-style homes. So it makes sense that creator Carolina Storm looked to England when drawing inspiration for her collaboration with Swedish interior brand Layered, drawing on the aesthetic of the iconic Charleston Farmhouse when updating the classic 'Somerset' sofa.

The outcome is four fresh colourways that have reinvigorated the enduring appeal of the two-seater design. The palette reflects the tones and patterns throughout the legendary farmhouse which was home to some of the 20th century's most prominent and notorious artists, writers and academics – better known as The Bloomsbury Group.

The new palette of the 'Somerset' sofa by Storm include 'harvest yellow', 'pink blush', 'hazelnut' and 'sage green', rendered in removable 100% linen. "Colour can make a tremendous difference in a room, and the removable upholstery makes it easier than ever to experiment with colours and styles in the living room!" Storm says. "Collaborating with Layered on this collection has been an incredible experience, and I'm truly excited to see how customers will style these sofas in their homes."

'Somerset' forms part of Layered's Country House Collection series, which places extra focus on simple and long-lasting design. The sofa is available to order now in the new Carolina Storm colour palette via the Layered website.
