Café Club Stockholm: Inside New Balance’s 204L launch

The latest special at Café Club? The 204L. Served in Stockholm amongst the mingling and matchas, New Balance’s latest limited-edition sneaker was introduced through a one-day, girls-only pop-up. Inside, guests had their first taste and try-on of the new silhouette, while enjoying the sweet treats and the soundtrack of live local DJs.

Drawing on the design of '00s running shoes with a distinct ’70s slant, the 204L's slim shape, scalloped suede overlays and breathable mesh construction read as both nostalgic and current. Developed in ongoing collaboration with New Balance ambassador Rosalía, the 204L is a playful and endlessly wearable take on the archives – and it was a clear hit across the Café Club.
