The best red carpet looks from the 2026 VMAs

With a handful of Scandis nominated, the 2026 VMAs took place on Sunday night, bringing with it a parade of stellar red carpet looks. Below, peruse what your favourite artists wore to celebrate all things music

On September 27, the 2026 MTV VMAs – one of the biggest nights in music – took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, honouring some of the best albums, music videos, and live performances of the last year.

Leading the list of nominees were acts including Madonna, Bruno Mars, Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande, and Taylor Swift (who also received the VMAs’ inaugural Artist Director Honors); and among those who took the main stage to perform were Charli xcx, Lisa, Teddy Swims, Shaboozey, Gunna, Kacey Musgraves, and Yung Lean.

But before host Snoop Dogg kicked off the show, the red carpet served up plenty of statement looks – from the dark, witchy glamour of people like Charli (in Saint Laurent) and Teyana Taylor (in Zuhair Murad couture) to the ultra-low-rise stylings of Tyla (in straight-off-the-runway Mowalola) and Sombr (in custom ERL).
