Led by Danish-Italian founder and CEO Tracy Murray, who brings years of experience working with brands and directing their runway shows, the just-launched platform Moda Productions aims to create a space where both fledgling and established labels can grow. Below, all you need to know about the innovative hub

The fashion industry can be a tough nut to crack, especially for emerging designers. Moda Productions, a newly-launched platform spearheaded by Danish-Italian founder Tracy Murray, enters the scene with an empowering vision of building a nurturing and collaborative environment that helps brands – both up-and-coming and renowned – thrive. Offering services in runway production, PR, branding, marketing, mentoring, sustainability programs and certifications, and more, Moda Productions leverages Murray’s years of experience in the industry to disrupt the fashion sphere and make a lasting impact.

“We envision Moda Productions as a hub for education and mentorship, where emerging and even established designers can gain insights and skills necessary for success,” Murray explains. “By cultivating partnerships with established industry leaders and offering workshops and resources, we will empower the next generation of fashion creatives, ensuring that talented voices, no matter where in the world, are heard and represented.”

Murray’s love for fashion was sparked at a young age when she discovered some of her mum’s old modelling pictures from the 1960s. “I thought, ‘Wow, this is what I see as beauty, and I would love to tap into this industry,’” she recalls. Scribbling her own designs on the backs of old receipts, she began fantasising about dreaming up dazzling fashion shows. Upon completing a degree in Arts and Production (alongside additional studies in finance and fashion), Murray entered the fashion industry, working closely with a wide range of designers to bring their runway show visions to life. Alongside her mother's “strong female presence as a constant light to me”, she counts entrepreneur, author and speaker Elena Cardone as well as designer Rebecca Minkoff as role models. “They pave the way for not only women, but anyone that is in the pursuit of reaching their true potential,” she says.

Today, she has collaborated with over 180 brands – among them, Caila Abdul, Solangel, Kenzie Kay, Cristina Tamborero and Sara Onsi – producing their sartorial spectacles, amassing invaluable connections and knowledge on the recipe for a truly successful show. “It was during the chaotic fashion weeks where I witnessed the real challenges – miscommunication, disorganisation, unethical behaviour and inadequate support systems – that the seeds for my own production company, Moda Productions, were planted,” Murray says. “I knew I could do better and create an environment where creativity and efficiency could properly flourish.”

Drawing on her insights into the pitfalls and hurdles that can arise in the whirlwind of executing fashion shows and running a brand in this fast-paced, demanding industry, Murray established Fashion Week Forum, her company that now powers Moda Productions. With core values of innovation, ethical collaboration, effective systems, and quality, the platform provides services tailored to each client’s needs, honing in on the specific areas where the brand seeks support. Since emerging labels often operate with restricted resources and limited experience, receiving a blueprint for critical areas like branding, runway production, ethical sourcing, and sustainability certifications from a well-versed expert can be vital.

“Our goal is to be a catalyst for positive change, encouraging a shift towards more sustainable, equitable, and artistically fulfilling practices in fashion production and designers having a support system that creates long-lasting, ever-expanding branding and business models,” Murray says. For brands looking to harness Moda Productions’ offerings, the process is straightforward: once registration is completed through the website and the label has been vetted, discussions begin on how and where Moda Productions can provide support. The final cost will depend on the number of services the brand procures, with Murray noting that they will also consider the label’s finances, as funds can be a challenge for up-and-coming labels.

In the future, Murray envisions Moda Productions becoming a globally recognised name in the industry and an inclusive hub that fosters a dynamic, creative community where brands can grow, build connections and prosper under Murray and her skilled team’s guidance. The founder also sees the platform as a valuable opportunity for uncovering new talent that might otherwise remain unnoticed. “We could even discover the next household name,” she muses. “I know talent when I see it, like many do, and sometimes you think like, ‘Wow, if they just had the right team, they could be the next big thing’ – and we’re dedicated to making that happen.”
