Lovechild 1979 - SS22

By Allyson Shiffman

Striped sets became summer staples at Lovechild 1979

Today’s Lovechild 1979 show was a brief stint in the Italian Riviera — a love letter to jet setting. Mismatched wooden chairs lined a cobblestone runway, blouses on a clothesline swaying overhead.

The collection itself went from the beach to the beach club. Tie-front tube tops with matching shorts, slouchy linen suits in understated floral prints. Models donned carrier straw bags — big and small. An embroidered cherry print donned shirts and sun dresses. By the time Josephine Skriver came down the runway in a bubblegum pink knit dress — the very essence of beach vacation glamour — onlookers were peering over their balconies to take in the action.
