Stockholm-based fashion house Lisa Yang is set to open its first-ever physical store on Birger Jarlsgatan this year, marking a major milestone for the brand as it translates its premium fibre-led universe into a permanent retail space in its home city.

Lisa Yang has announced plans to open its first standalone store in Stockholm, with the 137-square-metre flagship set to open at Birger Jarlsgatan 8 in the second half of 2026. Developed in collaboration with Studio Anne Holtrop – the Dutch design force behind Margiela's retail worlds –the space marks the brand’s first step into bricks-and-mortar after more than a decade spent refining its reputation through a focused approach to fibre, silhouette and longevity.

Since it was established in 2014 by Lisa Yang and Samuel Stenberg, the Stockholm-based house has become known for its namesake founder's deep fascination with, and precise to, the world's finest natural fibres. Uniting East and West, with the bridging of Scandinavian simplicity with the cashmere legacy of Inner Mongolia, Lisa Yang today offers a cashmere wardrobe for women, men and the home.

“We took our time to quietly build a brand grounded in material intelligence and modernity. Translating this sensibility into a physical environment that unites creativity, craftsmanship and connection, is a deliberate and exciting step we have waited for,” says founder and creative director Lisa Yang of the forthcoming retail concept.

Located in the heart of the Swedish capital, the store represent both a symbolic and strategic move: a first permanent destination in the market where the label already enjoys a strong and loyal customer base. The project will introduce a dedicated architectural expression of the brand’s world, shaped in dialogue with its long-standing emphasis on tactility and restraint.

“This flagship store marks an important milestone for our brand, reflecting our growth and vision for the future. Our first physical destination will not only allow us to showcase our brand strengths, but it allows us to build deeper relationships with our clients. We are excited to start this journey in our home market where we have an established and loyal customer base,” adds co-founder and CEO Samuel Stenberg.

Further details of the concept, including Studio Anne Holtrop’s spatial interpretation of the Lisa Yang universe, will be revealed closer to the opening.
