Forever delivering style surprises, Fox tapped a young Danish brand for the SXSW premiere of her new film Idiotka
Controversial, kooky, and colloquial, Julia Fox is an actress who has divided many a fashion-minded opinion with her unconventional and often outlandish ensembles. But at the premiere of her new film Idiotka at Texan culture festival South by Southwest, Fox turned her tastes to the world of Scandinavian fashion, donning a gown courtesy of buzzy Danish label Bonnetje.

Whilst walking the red carpet, Fox stunned in the Copenhagen brand’s Tied Sleeve Dress. A standout from its spring/summer 2025 collection, the floor-length gown was crafted from “carefully selected vintage suit jacket sleeves attached to a solid back panel of deadstock wool,” according to Bonnetje representative Yoko Hansen. Embracing the unconventional, the actress paired the avant-garde ensemble with an equally offbeat beauty look – grey-brown lipstick, bleached brows, and a silver-toned bob.
Leaning fully into Bonnetje’s upcycled aesthetic, Fox later stepped out in a second look from the Danish label – a one-of-a-kind long blazer coat, pieced together from two repurposed blazers. “We love that she is wearing Bonnetje,” says Hansen. “It means a lot to us that Julia and her stylist Briana like to support emerging designers like us.”
