With my new role on the fashion team at Vogue Scandinavia, February meant stepping into an office filled with fashion insiders – which quickly sparked the urge to refine my wardrobe. The goal wasn’t to reinvent it entirely, but to introduce a few considered pieces, inspired by Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy in the Calvin Klein office in the ’90s: all sharp tailoring, effortless monochrome and quiet confidence.
Whether you’ve just stepped into a new workplace or are looking for a little office wardrobe refresh, consider this editor’s selection of February drops as a small spark of wish-list inspiration – pieces that might signal a new chapter or simply bring a little joy to the everyday. After all, you are always worthy of treating yourself with a little gift.
The H&M Studio collection is now live and one of the pieces is this little cardigan that is perfect for layering. It has an asymmetric back which reminds me of the avant-garde fashion labels in the '90s. There are several nice pieces in the collection, but this is my favourite.
I would wear this little vintage style silk top under the sweater, so that you just have a little feeling of the lace coming out in the rounded neckline and below the hem. It also bring some softness to my look.
All kinds of pencil skirts are a big trend for this spring and Toteme's knee-length skirt, with its see-through under-layer, brings a sensual touch.
This slender belt, finished with a polished silver buckle, is the perfect final touch to my outfit. A great belt has the power to elevate any look – whether threaded through your favourite jeans or cinched at the waist of a delicate slip dress.
Statement earrings were also high on my wishlist in February. I recently met Silvia Dusci, the founder of Le Sundial and both she and her lovely jewellery immediately found their way into my heart. These tasselled onyx earrings will lift every outfit with their charm and playfulness.
This beautifully sculpted bag has the most perfect shape, while still being spacious enough to carry everything I need for a day at work. With early-morning Pilates now part of my routine, its clever side pocket is ideal for stashing away post-workout essentials before heading straight to the office.
To complete my look and try to come as close as possible to my modern incarnation of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, these boots are perfect with a skirt. And the designer, Sania, promises that I can walk at least 10, 000 steps a day in these, so no need to switch to slippers in the office.
Of course I need a really nice notebook and a planner that I can use for all our meetings, and also decorate my table in a stylish way. I picked a black one, but there are so many colours to choose from, I am sure you will find your favourite. And the best is – you may also personalise them.
