Come backstage into a mystical land where models are made muses and garments come to life right before your eyes

Presentation wise, the average runway show has a duration between five and 20 minutes. Sometimes quicker, sometimes longer, always pristine. This being said, nothing can actually portray the reality of what goes on backstage of the sparkly, glittery performances.

From sweat and tears, to joy and laughter, there is a whole world behind the curtain that few have the honour and pleasure of experiencing. Just like the original creation, before the gods took their thrones and the humans worked the land, it’s pure chaos and raw energy. Inexplicable forces working in unison to create something that has never been seen before.

It’s where models become moving statues and muses that are bestowed with the divine creations of the designers. It’s where the hair and makeup artists unleash their powers and create characters out of this world and transform them into beings of pure beauty and aesthetic. It’s where the master gives the final touches to their art piece right before they send it out for the world to admire.

Here it’s not about walking the runway with cameras flashing, it’s about the moment right before. It’s walking into the light, walking into the future. For Copenhagen Fashion Week AW22, Vogue Scandinavia opens up the curtains and invites you to discover the unseen world of fashion.
