Los Angeles cool met Norwegian craftsmanship as David-Andersen welcomed Spinelli Kilcollin to Scandinavia with an intimate evening of jewellery, conversation and dinner at its Oslo flagship
Nestled in the heart of Oslo is an emporium for those with a magpie eye. Alongside its own creations, David-Andersen’s flagship houses a carefully curated roster of jewellery labels – the latest of which, Spinelli Kilcollin, was welcomed on Thursday evening with an intimate celebration in collaboration with Vogue Scandinavia.
Among those gathered were Marianne Theodorsen, Tsutsumi Hoang and Sophie Sunde Sylte, who arrived to try on the Los Angeles brand’s signature interconnected styles and explore David-Andersen’s own collections, including the storied enamel work the Norwegian house has practised since 1876.
Opening the evening, Sophie Noel Vanay, creative director at David-Andersen, reflected on the significance of introducing Spinelli Kilcollin to Scandinavia in the same year the house celebrates its 150th anniversary. “For David-Andersen, this launch feels particularly meaningful,” she said. “While we are extremely proud of our heritage, an anniversary is not only an opportunity to look back. It is also a moment to look ahead and consider what will define the next chapter of David-Andersen.”

Part of that next chapter is bringing fresh international perspectives to Scandinavia while remaining rooted in the craftsmanship that has defined the house since 1876. “Spinelli Kilcollin’s modern, architectural universe brings something new and unexpected to David-Andersen,” Sophie continued, “while sharing our appreciation for quality, craftsmanship and lasting design.”
Founded independently in Los Angeles by Yves Spinelli and Dwyer Kilcollin in 2010, the Spinelli Kilcollin label began with its now-signature interconnected ring, designed by Yves and made alongside his father. More than 15 years later, that design remains an important part of the Spinelli Kilcollin story, though its world has expanded through an ongoing exploration of proportion, movement, materials and the ways jewellery can be worn.
“At its core, Spinelli Kilcollin is independent, curious, and continually evolving,” Lizzie Watch, International Sales Director with the LA brand, said. “There is a confidence in doing things differently, while still allowing the jewellery – and the people who wear it – to speak for themselves.”
The evening culminated in dinner inside the flagship itself, where guests gathered around a single long table amid the very jewels and craftsmanship they had come to celebrate – a fitting close to a night bringing together 15 years of Los Angeles design and 150 years of Norwegian goldsmithing.
