Last night CPHFW and Bang & Olufsen hosted a grand dinner to fete the fashion week’s 20th anniversary. Take a glimpse inside the star-studded celebrations

Copenhagen Fashion Week has grown substantially over the years. And so, to celebrate its 20th anniversary, over 400 of the fashion week’s closest friends and collaborators gathered for an elegant dinner, followed by a raucous party. Co-hosted by Bang & Olufsen and held in the second-floor hall of the Nils and Eva Koppel-designed Langelinie Pavillonen, the evening further emphasised CPHFW’s cultural significance, both within fashion and beyond. Plus, the looks were simply great.

Following champagne and a mingle – a welcome opportunity to unwind, especially for the designers who showed on schedule this season and the journalists who cover them – guests took their seats at the tastefully set long tables. Familiar faces dotted the room, from Danish supermodel Mona Tougaard to Swedish rapper Silvana Imam (who later performed) to tennis star Holger Rune to Vogue Scandinavia alum Bjarke Ingels. CPHFW CEO Cecilie Thorsmark gave a speech that laid out the history of the fashion week, from its humble beginnings to its current fifth-fashion-week status.

After dinner, guests decamped to the dance floor for a boogie and, of course, cake (the cornerstone of any good birthday party). A stunning ending to a great season, and just a glimpse of the continued celebrations come the August edition.
