Ahead of its European debut at Copenhagen Fashion Week as the recipient of the International Guest Slot, we talk to Collina Strada founder and designer Hillary Taymour to reveal everything you need to know about the show

Collina Strada has never been a brand to play by fashion's rules, so it feels fitting that founder and designer Hillary Taymour's Copenhagen Fashion Week appearance won't follow a conventional formula either. As the inaugural recipient of the new International Guest Slot, supported by The Climate Pledge, the New York label will present a one-off runway show during the SS27 season, with a collaboration that celebrates brands driving more responsible practices across the industry.

For Taymour, the visiting show is as much about creative freedom as it is about testing new territory. After years of showing in The Big Apple, Copenhagen offers an opportunity to experiment outside her comfort zone without the pressure of committing to a permanent place on the European schedule. "It's kind of a test for us," she says, describing the show as a chance to see how the team operates beyond its Brooklyn studio while reconnecting with the spirit that defined Collina Strada in its early years.
