On last night’s episode of And Just Like That… Carrie Bradshaw, played of course by Sarah Jessica Parker, included a dress from Danish brand Munthe in a look only she would dare to wear
Dressing Carrie Bradshaw is any designer’s holy grail, and the latest brand to get the coveted Bradshaw seal of approval is Munthe. In last night’s episode of And Just Like That…, in which Carrie begins to navigate life post-Aiden (finally), Carrie (portrayed of course by Sarah Jessica Parker) wore a covetable clingy knit dress by the Danish brand, styled in her very own so-bonkers-it-works way.
For designer Naja Munthe, who came up in peak Sex and the City era, this is a major moment. “I grew up with Sex and the City as the most trendsetting, innovative, and influential series of all time – not just in terms of openness and conversations between friends, but of course also when it came to fashion,” she says. “It was always the clothes that caught your eye, and you just knew that the combinations featured were the absolute best of the best. So for me to be part of it – and to have Sarah Jessica Parker wearing one of my designs – is truly a dream come true.”

Whilst receiving notes on her novel from her hunky neighbour, Carrie wears the currently-sold-out Tallen dress, which was modified by the Munthe team in Copenhagen to fit Jessica Parker just right. Rendered in an abstract pattern of mocha and navy, the ribbed knit, ankle-skimming dress features slits on the sleeves as well as the trim, to ensure a perfect body-hugging fit. Carrie styled the dress as only she can, under an entirely different dress – a sweeping folkloric number – paired with buckled boots (luckily her neighbour is in her apartment, lest he be bother by her clomping around).
Meanwhile, Munthe is the first to admit just how unusual it is for a Danish brand to find its way onto And Just Like That… – a fact that only makes the moment all the more thrilling. “I’m incredibly proud and deeply honoured,” she says. “Because I know just how tiny the needle’s eye is that you have to pass through for a Danish fashion brand to make it all the way onto the body of none other than Carrie Bradshaw.”
Another great fashion choice by Carrie. Now if only she could apply her same good taste to men.
