Swedish Stockings links up with London-based writer and digital creator Camille Charrière on a capsule collection of covetable tights for every occasion
A lot of people slide into Camille Charrière’s DMs wanting to know one thing: where does she get her tights? “It’s so surprising, because I’m always wearing black tights,” says the London-based writer, digital creator and all around tastemaker. “It’s not that easy to find good quality tights that are really comfortable.” Soon she’ll be able to direct her followers to her very own capsule collection, co-designed with Swedish Stockings. Launching December 5th, Swedish Stockings by Camille Charrière’s “For The Girls” collection offers four pairs of tights to round out just about any outfit. Included in the offering is, of course, that elusive perfect black pair.
Charrière wasn’t always a tights person. “In France, it’s just not a thing,” she says. It wasn’t until she moved to London, where the weather tends to lean less-than-pleasant, that she embraced them as both a necessity and a styling hack. “I almost thought that they were a little bit naff and not very aesthetic,” she says. “But spending time here and seeing lots of different kinds of women styling them and how they’re just a staple of every woman’s wardrobe made me grow to truly love them.” These days, Charrière describes tights as her “go-to thing”.
