Kicking off Copenhagen Fashion Week, cult-classified Swedish beauty brand Caia teams up with Rotate to make their co-branded debut. The result? A confident (and yes, sexy) capsule of runway-ready makeup, fragrance... and Rotate’s first-ever bag

What happens when Scandinavia’s most photographed party girls partner up with Sweden’s boldest beauty disruptor? If the upcoming collaboration between Caia and Rotate is anything to go by, the answer is a heady mix of grown-up sensuality, smudged kohl glamour and a little satin-sheathed chaos in the lab.

Launching August 4th during Copenhagen Fashion Week, the limited-edition collection marks a first for both brands: Caia’s debut Danish pop-up and Rotate’s first foray into beauty. The result is a curated capsule of four products: a spicy amber perfume, two longwear lip liners, a skin-cushioning gloss treatment, and a convertible “makeup” bag featuring Rotate’s emblematic 3D floral appliqués.

“For us, this is so much more than merging beauty and fashion as these worlds already have a natural connection,” explains Emelie Sundesten, creative director at Caia. “It was more about merging two like-minded Scandinavian brands together. Our similar taste made this collaboration feel effortless.” That shared mindset is visible in every detail, from the sculptural lip pencils to the scent, described by Sundesten as evoking the mood of “entering iconic Parisian hotels at night”.

The fragrance, titled simply The Rotate Perfume, is a standout. Warm, spicy, and unapologetically sexy, it marks a confident evolution for Caia. “It’s bold, grown-up, confident, and I love that this collaboration is perfectly timed with my single era,” shares Caia co-founder Bianca Ingrosso, adding: “I’m not wearing anything else at the moment.”

For Ingrosso, the collaboration signals a new chapter, not just for the brand, but personally. “It just fits where I am in life right now and gives me such a confidence boost every time I put it on,” she says. According to Ingrosso, Rotate co-founders, Thora Valdimars and Jeanette Madsen, bring “a depth of experience and confidence” she admires. “It’s exciting to see Caia dressed in someone else’s direction. It still feels true to who we are, but it’s more grown-up.”

That trust between collaborators was essential. “Perfume is so tied to emotion, so you really have to trust the people you’re working with,” Ingrosso explains. “After I smelled the first sample, I knew I could fully hand over the scent to Thora and Jeanette,” she says. “Honestly, it was an honour.”

For the Rotate duo, the creative process mirrored the rhythm of designing a collection. “Our office turned into a kind of beauty atelier filled with boxes of samples, too many lip shades, and endless scent trials,” says Valdimars. Madsen adds, “We approached it like we would any drop. Every shade, every texture had to tell a story.”

That attention to detail also extended to what is, surprisingly, Rotate’s first-ever bag: a soft-sculpted satin mini embossed with the brand’s signature 3D floral pattern. Designed with a convertible strap, it’s technically a makeup bag, but looks more like a clutch destined for Fashion Week street style roundups. “We added the strap to make it wearable beyond beauty,” explains Thora. “It’s romantic, bold, and unmistakably Rotate.”

If the bag is the finishing touch, the liners are the daily staples. “The Pink Lip Pencil is a staple in my bag now,” says Ingrosso. “I use it to line and to fill in my lips for a full look” adding: “Longwear is super important to me, I’m in and out of meetings all day, and these stay on so well.” As for The Brown Lip Pencil, Ingrosso gets a bit more inventive. “One of my favorite tricks is using The Brown Lip Pencil on my eyelids to softly frame my eyes. It gives a nice, natural definition,” she says. “I even use it to draw little faux freckles, that 12-hour hold makes all the difference for me.”

No Scandinavian collaboration would be complete without a touch of irreverence. One core memory from the development process? “We were struggling with the pink shade until Thora mentioned the nipple theory,” Sundesten laughs. “It’s said your natural lip tone matches your nipple. Let’s just say things got personal, but we ended up with the perfect pink.”

Timed to coincide with the Rotate SS26 show, where Caia also acts as official makeup partner, the launch is taking over Copenhagen in true Fashion Week style. A Caia pop-up housed inside Rotate’s flagship store will serve as the collaboration’s physical home, complete with exclusive access, curated brand moments, and even a Snapchat AR filter. As Madsen puts it, “Our shows are where we reveal our full creative vision. Launching beauty during Fashion Week felt meant to be.”

From scent to liner, bag to gloss, each piece in the capsule reflects a rare synergy between brands, and between the women steering them. “This isn’t just the next step for Caia,” says Ingrosso. “It’s the next version of us.”
