The best red carpet moments from Venice Film Festival 2021

By Eliza Sörman Nilsson

Dressed in Chanel, Armani Privé and Dolce & Gabbana, celebrities hit the Venice Film Festival red carpet in looks that didn't disappoint

Star gazing is a wonderful sport and what better place to do it than the red carpet of Venice Film Festival. After a year of cancelled plans, the 2021 festival is bringing back the decadent glam we are all so desperately craving. Over the following days supermodels and the world’s leading actors will all come together at the city’s famed Lido to not only celebrate film but the art of getting dressed.

Leading the charge at opening night was Penélope Cruz in a black and white Chanel gown. Zendaya made her film festival debut in Balmain, Maggie Gyllenhaal went for classic in Prada while Dakota Johnson brought 1920s charm in Gucci.

Of course the most unforgettable moment has been Jennifer Lopez donning a Georges Hobeika number and making her relationship 'red-carpet official.' She attending the premiere of The Last Duel with none other than her former fiancée, and on-again boyfriend Ben Affleck.

See all the looks here, and don’t forget to check back in throughout the duration of the film festival:
