Björk wore Burberry to announce her latest single

Looking positively ethereal and impossibly dramatic, Björk wore a bright pear green marabou feather and organza gown by Burberry to announce her first single Atopos from her upcoming album Fossora. The singer paired the dress with slivers of silver around the neck by James Merry and an aquatic headdress reminiscent of kelp – not to mention the Clara Bow brows, smokey eyes and impeccably smudged black lipstick. Shot by Vidar Logi, the official artwork was to celebrate the release of her upcoming 10th album, the follow-up to 2017’s Utopia, the Icelandic singer posed among alien plants in the awe-inspiring artwork.

This is the next buzzy brand collaborating with & Other Stories, and we're in for a sophisticated capsule

London’s calling as A.W.A.K.E mode partners with & Other Stories for its upcoming collaboration. The British brand is known for art-like avant garde tailoring with a surprisingly wearable appeal. Lighthearted and with unexpected details, the partnership will feature ready-to-wear shoes and accessories in a collection that effortlessly slots into our daily wardrobe rotation. “We absolutely adore A.W.A.K.E. mode for their innovative cuts, interesting juxtapositions and distinctive expression of modern femininity,” says Karolina Ekman, head of co-labs at & Other Stories. “Therefore, we are ecstatic to be able to collaborate with such a strong fashion voice. The collection is stunning – and surreally sophisticated.”

For A.W.A.K.E. mode founder Natalia Alaverdian & Other Stories made for the perfect partner, the similarities between the brands easy to spot. It’s in the name: A.W.A.K.E mode spells out ‘All Wonderful Adventures Kindle Enthusiasm,’ and according to the designer, “there’s this sense of joy, love, inclusivity and warmth in their brand philosophy which we truly have in common.” It’s not just about women dressing women, as Alaverdian points out, but also about “creating an atmosphere that feels comfortable, friendly and kind.”

The A.W.A.K.E. MODE & Other Stories co-lab collection will be available in selected stores worldwide and online on Stories.com this autumn.

Kim K’s latest Skims swim collection will be doing double-duty in our wardrobes come autumn

Kim Kardashian’s buzzy shapewear brand Skims, which she co-founded with Swedish consultants Jens and Emma Grede in 2019, is the 'Spanx' of Gen Z. However, Skims offer far more than the aforementioned shapewear, curating a cult-like following for loungewear and underwear as well. Not to mention its swimwear.

Launching today, the latest drop sees the brand’s clean and minimalistic aesthetic come to fruition in neutral colours like dove and petrol blue, brown, and white. Created in a soft compressive fabric, the styles offer smoothing support with figure hugging silhouettes. Moving on from the high-leg cuts and eeny-teeny-string-bikinis of yore, this latest drop moves onto more coverage with matching sarongs, tank tops and shorts, in timeless styles that lightly sculpt and smooth curves. However, it is the classic one-piece in cocoa we’ve got out eye on. While perfect for a last summer dip, this swimsuit easily doubles up as a bodysuit come autumn.

Norway gets a 'New Look' as Dior opens the doors to its first Nordic location in Oslo

Set over two levels in the heart of Oslo, Dior's first Scandinavian address is set to spur on a new era of luxury in Norway. Located on Nedre Slottsgate in the Promenaden Fashion District (Oslo’s luxury shopping hub) Dior's latest location is perched next to other storied fashion houses such as Bottega Veneta, Hermès, and Gucci. "We have been looking to open a Dior boutique in the Nordic region for a while, but we preferred to take our time and find the perfect location in order to offer our clients the ultimate Dior experience. That was the priority for us," the brand told Vogue Scandinavia. "The Norwegian customer is very keen on exploring the Dior universes and has welcomed us with open arms."

The creamy walls, interiors and light parquet flooring of the historic location are contrasted by blue detailing, like a patterned navy rug and a dove blue armchair. The store will carry both Maria Grazia Chiuri's autumn/winter 2022 collection (where the creative director revisited the brand's iconic Bar jacket alongside the 62-22 pumps, inspired by the historic model designed for Dior by Roger Vivier) as well as Kim Jones' male counterpart, where he envisioned the emblematic symbols cherished by Dior's founding couturier – the star, the rose, the cannage, the leopard and the lily of the valley motifs. Not to mention the the House’s essential accessories and bags.

Dior's new boutique can be found at Nedre Slottsgate 13, Oslo, Norway.

Look inside Aiayu's latest lifestyle location in Copenhagen's Frederiksberg

When Aiayu sets out to create a new retail space, ambitions are always high. And with the Danish brand's latest location, a flagship store at the charming intersection of Gammel Kongevej and Værnedamsvej (more precisely on Gammel Kongevej 80) in historical Frederiksberg, Aiayu has nailed the brief. Situated over 180 m2, the new flagship is furnished with the help of design studio Space Copenhagen, a long-time collaborator of the brand. Natural materials and quality are a pervasive theme, seen in the sizeable handmade oak cabinets by Malte Gormsen, Italian marble, wrought iron and selected ceramic works. Not to mention the almost Parisian feel of the street outside, with quaint cafés and specialised shops, forming a perfect frame for Aiayu's low-key lifestyle offering.

Aiayu's new flagship opens on August 4th.
