From uniform dressing to navigating life after divorce, Anine Bing brings us along for a working day in LA – complete with a shoot, Swedish coffee, and a visit to Chateau Marmont
For Anine Bing, a good day starts with oat milk and ends with a dirty martini. But what happens in between?
13 years after launching her namesake label out of a much-too-commonn denim frustration, Bing has built a global fashion brand with outposts in Paris, New York, Shanghai and beyond. Still, her own style remains strikingly consistent: lived-in, curated, and rooted in uniform dressing. “I wear denim every day,” she says. “I prefer to be dressed down than dressed up. A good pair of jeans and a great top – that’s it.”
Bringing Vogue Scandinavia on a whirlwind day in LA, our latest cover star squeezes in store visits, coffee stops and wardrobe swaps, All while speaking candidly to the camera about the recent changes in her life: divorce and motherhood. “It’s the hardest thing. Especially with kids involved," she shares. Her advice? Be kind. Surround yourself with community. And don’t be afraid to embrace change. “I'm excited for this next chapter. I think it’s going to be a beautiful one.”
