Getting to Los Angeles wasn't quite the smooth, glamorous affair Alicia Agneson and Herman Tømmeraas had imagined. After cancelled flights, a frantic dash across London and an unexpected detour through Paris, the actors finally touched down in California some 40 hours after leaving home.
Thankfully, a little Valentino magic awaited. From slipping into sequins and silk for the launch of the house's Vendetta fragrance to exploring the city's best vintage shops, their whirlwind visit soon turned into a full-blown California adventure. With a few leisurely days in Santa Barbara to round things out, there was plenty to write home about. Here, they share their travel diary:
"As we boarded our plane to LA with Valentino, we couldn’t be happier. However, things took an unexpected turn as we had to disembark our plane after 3 hours on the tarmac.
Two rebooked and cancelled flights later, with the whole airport shutting down, a fierce run through Heathrow, London's tube, and King’s Cross station, we managed to board the last train to Paris. Once in Paris, we managed to get a couple of hours' sleep at Charles de Gaulle before boarding the plane to LA."
