For 2027, Vogue World is headed out west again – this time, to San Francisco

By Vogue

While we wait for Milan's turn in a month, Vogue World's 2027 location has just been revealed: San Francisco

After tours through New York, London, and Paris – and its arrival next month in Milan, at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II – Vogue World is returning stateside in 2027. The fashion fantasia’s next stop? Another booming West Coast metropolis: San Francisco.

“Vogue believes in celebrating cities, and San Francisco is a city like none other,” says Anna Wintour, Condé Nast’s chief content officer and the global editorial director of Vogue. “It’s a place of diverse communities living side by side, a place that loves the arts, loves creativity, and isn’t afraid of change.”

She continues: “There’s a history of rebelliousness here, as well as incredible innovation. I love that San Francisco has always stood up for its values and the things it believes in. We think it’s the perfect setting for Vogue World 2027.”

San Francisco’s mayor, Daniel Lurie, echoes Wintour’s emphasis on the artistry abundant in the Golden Gate City – one that has powered exciting work not only in the tech industry, but also across design and both the visual and performing arts. “Creativity and free expression have been the engine of San Francisco for generations, and that spirit will be on full display at Vogue World 2027,” he says.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic particularly – which had a devastating impact on local businesses – it’s the arts that have led the city’s upturn. “Thanks to our ecosystem of talented designers, musicians, and small businesses – and the artists and workers behind them – visitors are coming to our city, and our economy is recovering,” Lurie says. “Vogue World will support San Francisco’s creative minds and strengthen the entire ecosystem – and it will offer another opportunity to show the world that San Francisco is on the rise.”

In 2025, Vogue World: Hollywood also celebrated the history and culture of California, bringing Doja Cat, Gracie Abrams, Nicole Kidman, Kendall Jenner, and a galaxy of other stars together at the historic Paramount lot in Los Angeles. Plans for Vogue World: Milano – which is set to take place on September 22nd, at the start of Milan Fashion Week – are well underway, its theme underscoring craftsmanship and human ingenuity in the age of technology. As he has across Vogue World’s previous iterations, Juan Costa Paz of Convoy will serve as the show’s creative director in both Milan and San Francisco.

More information is to come – but we’ll see you in San Francisco in the early autumn of 2027.
